Rental Policy

Lakeside Haven Cottages, LLC
2025 RENTAL POLICY

  • Deposits are due within 10 days of reservation. Deposits are refundable if we receive notice from you more than 30 days prior to
    your arrival date and we fill the vacancy your cancellation created. If less than a 30 day notice is given, we will expect full payment if your camp has not been rented.
  • If you submit more than the required amount of deposit and cancel your reservation, Lakeside Haven reserves the right to place
    that amount towards the balance of your reservation that would be due if you had stayed with us in Year 2025 based on the current
    rate of up to 4 ppl.
  • Registration and full payment are due on arrival.
  • Credit cards are accepted but you incur a credit card processing fee
  • A 3-night minimum rental is allowed from Open to the3rd Saturday in June and the month of September. Full week rentals are
    required between these dates. Exceptions can be made based on availability.
  • Weekly rentals are from Saturday to Saturday.
  • Check in time is 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays or 11:00 a.m. other days. Check out time is 10:00 a.m.
  • There is a daily and nightly fee for any visitors (see rate sheet) and they are expected to be courteous, respectful and to follow
    Lakeside Haven rules. Renter’s are ultimately responsible for their visitors fee and behavior.
  • Your Guests are not allowed to bring pets. Ignoring this policy will result in your guests being asked to
    leave the premises immediately.
  • Speed Limit is 5 mph and is enforced.
  • Quiet hours observed 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  • No flammable/volatile liquids/toxic chemicals of any type will be stored under, around or in any of our cottages. In other words,
    gasoline cans of any type with any amount of gasoline in them are prohibited from sitting under/around or in any of Lakeside Haven cottages(NYS DEPT of HEALTH Violation)
  • No profanity and no loud music are allowed.
  • Report any unusual activity or situation immediately. Please report any maintenance situation, do not attempt to repair it yourself.
  • Discharging of weapons or fireworks is strictly prohibited.
  • Campfires are allowed in the fire rings only. DO NOT move the fire rings. DO NOT leave campfires unattended. DO NOT burn
    garbage of any kind.
  • Do not mix cardboard & newspapers in with regular trash (i.e. pizza boxes, camping equipment boxes, etc.); let us know you have it and we will pick it up.

Cottages

Cottages are equipped with:

  • AC/heat; gas range; hot & cold water; refrigerator/freezer; microwave; toaster; coffee pot; toilet and shower; cooking and eating
    utensils. Trash bags for our trash cans are available. Personal linens are not provided (beds are full/double and single sizes).
    Cabin #7 has one bedroom with a queen size bed. Each cottage has a porch with the exception of cottage #5—open deck.
  • Your Cabin is to be cleaned prior to your departure (same general condition as when you arrived). Cleaning supplies are in the cabin. A
    cabin left dirty is NOT ACCEPTABLE.
  • Prior to your departure remove your trash and place it in the dumpster located on the road headed to the boat launch just past the last cabin.
    Use common sense—no flammable or hazardous materials are to be disposed of in our trash (i.e. propane cylinders, gas tanks, cans
    of pain, etc.)
  • Bottles/cans can be left at the cabin bagged up if you chose not to take them home.

Lakeside Haven Cottages, LLC assumes no responsibility and is released from any and all liability for your loss, damage or stolen personal property. Renter takes full responsibility for damages to any and all Property of Lakeside Haven, for accidents on the water, injury or illness occurring to themselves or to their visitors. If you have not already done so, Lakeside Haven recommends that you purchase insurance for your personal possessions. The renter will incur all costs for such damages.
 

Lakeside Haven reserves the right to make necessary changes in the rules and policies at any time to protect the safety of all campers and in the best interest of the campground. Anyone refusing to abide by the rules or creating a disturbance will be asked to leave without refund. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone noncompliant with campground rules. Your deposit is acknowledgement that YOU and YOUR PARTY have read and fully understand the policy put forth by Lakeside Haven..

Boat/Motor

NEW YORK STATE--Brianna’s Law
All operators of motorized watercraft, regardless of age, are required to complete a state
approved boater safety course. You must provide Lakeside Haven proof of certificate before we
rent a boat/motor to you. If you are a non-resident, NYS will acknowledge your state boating
requirement.

 

  • Renters of Lakeside Haven boats/motors will be held responsible for any damages
  • Return boats cleaned out of any debris left by you.
  • Maximum of 15 hp motors on rental boats.
  • NYS law- children 12 years of age and younger must wear U.S. Coast Guard personal flotation devices while in boat
  • We require children 12 years of age and younger to wear a PFD on our docks.
  • Boats include one anchor, two oars and a U.S. Coast Guard PFD for each person riding in the boat (NEW YORK STATE LAW).
  • PERSONAL BOATS/JET SKIS, ETC: bumpers, ropes, etc. are NOT to be secured to docks when the boat is out on the lake. Electrical
    cords are to be unplugged and rolled up away from docks and water when not in use; if found not in compliance they will be
    removed.

Fish Processing

There are two fish processing buildings with electricity and water. Do not clean fish in cottages. Do not place anything other than fish
remains in the barrels under the counters in fish cleaning houses. Do not place garbage bags in these barrels.

Firewood

New York State restricts the transporting of untreated firewood to a 50-mile radius unless its source is identified as New York Approved
Treated Firewood to reduce the risk of introduction and spread of invasive insects and diseases of trees.

RV/Tent

  • RV must be completely self-contained including gray water
  • There is a discharge station on the premises
  • 2 nights of RV camping or less= no use of dumping station OR add $25.00 plus tax to camping fee for use of discharge station
  • Please leave your campsite neat and clean upon your departure

NOTE: Our electrical system will NOT permit the operation of air conditioners in RVs due to low amperage

RESTROOMS/SHOWER FACILITY - SMOKING IS PROHIBITED IN ALL RESTROOMS

  • Please be considerate for others health and safety
  • Do not mistreat these areas

Pets

Cats are NOT allowed in our cottages
The maximum number of dogs per cottage is two dogs
  • Pets must be controlled to ensure peace and privacy of other guests
  • Any pet showing aggressive behavior will be immediately banned.
  • Excessive barking dog will not be tolerated
  • Dogs must be leashed and in your attendance at all time
  • Pet must hold a valid rabies vaccination certificate & and be presented on arrival.
  • Everyone (including children walking them) must clean up after their pets
  • Camper accepts full and complete responsibility for damages or any injuries caused by their pets’ actions

Items to consider packing for your trip

  • Outdoor BBQ Grill/Cooker; deep fryer
  • Outdoor chairs for lounging
  • Tablecloth for picnic table
  • Extension cord (for charging boat battery, 100ft)
  • Pillows & bed linens for full and twin mattresses
  • Personal bathroom items
  • Utensils or cookware you prefer to use
  • Bottled water if you wish (our water is chlorinated well water
  • Coverings for couch & chairs in cabin
